Reason to Run

You provide the reason, we provide the race.

Twilight

Q. Is the Twilight Run run entirely on trails?
A. No. Some of the course is run on paved access roads within Cook Park. No cars should be on these roads when we are running. Most of the course is on paved bike trail. A small percentage of the mileage is on bark trails. Cook Park will remain open to the public during the events so we will have volunteers making sure everyone is safe.

Q. Will there be race awards?
A. Yes. We will have overall and age group plaques/tropies.

Q. Will there be door prizes?
A. Yes. Everyone likes getting something unexpected and we are planning to have door prizes such as running clothing, sports event entries, gift cards, flowers and more.

Q. Can jogging strollers be used during the events?
A. Yes! We invite families to run together. Please be considerate on the narrower parks of the route for the other participants.

Q. Are shirts sized for women and men?
A. Yes!

Q. Do we need to bring our registration info to pick up our race bibs and t-shirts?
A. Yes please.

Q. Will there be official timing and when will the race results be ready?
A.Yes the race will be chip timed with disposable chips. Results should be ready the day following the race.

Q. Are dogs allowed on the Twilight 5k course?
A. Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the course for the Twilight 5km event.

Q. Does the Twilight Run support any charity?
A. Yes! The proceeds from the Twilight Run will go to support the The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools. See here for more details.

Q. Is the Twilight Run "walker friendly"?
A. Yes! For this event we are planning to support participants up to a 19 minute per mile pace (~60 minutes for 5k). We will also make sure that both the first and last finisher has aid station support and finish line food.

Q. What is the best way to stay informed of any changes?
A. Sign up for the Reason to Run mailing list on our Contact page.
